Wastewater Treatment

Cardinal Resources' focus on this project was to identify the source of periodic high-strength wastewater discharges to the local publicly owned treatment works and to develop a strategy to mitigate these discharges. A tiered approach was developed, which included a wastewater characterization study to determine the source and frequency of these high-strength wastewater discharges, and to generate data to design a wastewater treatment system. Based on the results of the wastewater characterization study, an equalization system was designed and constructed. In conjunction with the equalization system, a flow-proportioned sampling system was installed.
